Grizzly Tales for Harry Potter

From the Jamie Rix Blog
"So JK Rowling has decided to self-publish the e-books of Harry Potter. Now all she has to do is drum up a bit of publicity so that people know the site is there. Luckily I don’t have that problem.
e-book sales of Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids, Ghostly Tales for Ghastly Kids, Fearsome Tales for Fiendish Kids, and More Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids are GOING THROUGH THE ROOF and they only went on sale this week! These are the original series of particularly unpleasant cautionary tales that I published between 1990 and 2004.
“Mix Dahl with Belloc and you can anticipate with glee these animated tales of Jamie Rix. Even William Brown’s antics pale beside noisy chocoholic Serena Slurp…” Daily Telegraph
I have also released the first two novels that I wrote and had published in the 90′s – The Dreaded Lurgie and A Stitch In Time. So if you’re a down at heel film producer looking for a fresh old favourite to boost your flagging career, look no further!"

Beyond Grizzly Tales 5

Honeycomb Animation's first series for ITV was Tube Mice in 1988.

Originally starring the voices of George Cole and Dennis Waterman, the series was later revoiced for transmission on Nickelodeon, as George and Dennis were working under the old ITV contracts which only allowed for two UK transmissions, though it was the original version which was released on video by Virgin Vision.

But did Dennis insist on singing the theme tune?  No, sorry Little Britain, not on this show, in fact co creator and director Simon Bor provided his voice for the rapping theme.

GRIZZLY TALES - Out with the old and in with the new!
Gone is the deserted cinema and that accident-prone spider, Spindleshanks, and in comes the Night Night Porter and The Hothell Darkness; the only hothell in the underworld with a room for EVERY wicked child in the world.
Each room has fresh crocodile skin sheets, a mini-bat, scare-conditioning and hot and cold running cockroaches. Very shriek-chic.
